What is included in your academic program?
The academic program at GCA is built on the Abeka curriculum and includes opportunities for dual credit coursework for juniors and seniors.
What classes do you offer?
In addition to a strong emphasis on English and Math, students receive a well-rounded education that includes history, science, Spanish, physical education, music, art, and computer courses. At the elementary level, instruction focuses on core subjects while also introducing students to physical education, art, and music.
What is the average class size?
The average class size at GCA is approximately 10 students.
What grades are available?
Grace Christian Academy offers grades Pre-K through 12.
What are the qualifications of your staff?
Our teaching staff brings over 150 years of combined educational experience and a genuine passion for teaching. Our teachers attend professional training yearly. Each teacher is a faithful Christian, committed to providing a caring, Christ-centered learning environment for every student.
Do you integrate technology into your classrooms?
GCA values a traditional, textbook-based approach to instruction while thoughtfully integrating technology to enhance learning. Students primarily learn through teacher-led instruction and printed curriculum, with computers available for research, keyboarding skills, math practice, and educational enrichment. Technology is used as a supporting tool, not a replacement for instruction.
What curricula do you use?
GCA uses Abeka Books as its primary curriculum. When supplementation is needed, Bob Jones and ACE Paces may also be used.
What are the graduation requirements?
At Grace Christian Academy, graduation is based on achievement, not age. Some students may complete requirements earlier than others, as learning—not time—is the focus. A diploma is awarded only after the student has: Met all academic requirements (including enrollment at GCA for a minimum of six months and completion of at least six credits), completed the prescribed course of study outlined by their academic supervisor, and paid all necessary fees.
Is your campus secure?
GCA maintains a secure campus with locked doors, video surveillance, and regular security drills to ensure a safe learning environment for every student.
What is the admissions process?
To be admitted to GCA, applicants must submit an application and enrollment fee, complete a placement evaluation, and meet with a member of the administration. For secondary students, academic records must also be submitted prior to attendance.
What is the cut-off date for kindergarten?
Students entering Pre-K must be 4 years old by September 1st and potty-trained. Students entering Kindergarten must be 5 years old by September 1st.
Do you require a uniform?
Yes, GCA requires a uniform, as we believe our dress code helps teach students principles of modesty and professional appearance, preparing them for future academic and workplace settings.
Does your school offer special education services?
We do not offer special education services.
What sports are included in your program?
Students in grades 3–6 can participate in soccer, volleyball, and basketball. Students in grades 7–12 can participate in volleyball and basketball.
Do you offer after-school care and before-school care?
GCA offers after-school care from 3:15 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. School doors open at 7:30 a.m. for regular morning drop-off; however, we do not offer before-school care.
Do you have a lunch program?
GCA offers a hot lunch program on most Fridays for an additional fee. On all other school days, or when hot lunch is not ordered, students are required to bring a lunch from home. Microwaves and refrigerator space are not available to students.
