That is why our motto is “LEAD BY EXAMPLE…IT’S THE PATRIOT WAY.”  We have competed in T.C.A.F, Texas Christian Athletic Fellowship and as an Independent.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Grace Christian Academy Athletic Department is to utilize the tool of athletics to glorify God through the discipleship of student athletes to develop spiritually, physically, intellectually, and socially in Christ so He can use their talents and gifts to impact the world with the Gospel.

PHILOSOPHY

Col. 3:23-24, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.” This verse states the philosophy of athletics for Grace Christian Academy. Our staff, athletes, fans, and parents are to glorify the name of Jesus Christ by their words, attitudes, and actions, both on and off of the field or court.

The Athletic Department at Grace Christian Academy exists to guide student athletes to a better understanding of their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, how to use their gifts to serve Christ, and to glorify the Lord in all we do. Many circumstances arise in preparation for and during athletic competition that offer opportunities for God’s principles to be applied in the lives of the athletes. The purpose of our athletic program is to seize these opportunities and make a difference in the student athletes for the work of Christ.

Not only do athletes at Grace Christian Academy represent their school, but they represent their Lord, their parents, their churches, and their pastors. We believe our student athletes are “Ambassadors For Christ” on and off the court of competition. So while we desire excellence in athletics and victory in competition it will never be at the expense of a poor testimony. The Bible speaks to this in Proverbs 22:1a, “A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches”.
